Wheel.

December 20, 2003 – WHEEL

My friend’s dad passed away the other day. We had to go to a memorial service later on that evening. Jackie and Tina went to the funeral and then had to go off to a wedding. AND.. my friend Micha was celebrating his birthday.

Bizarre, that – isn’t it? It reminds me of John Mayer’s song: ‘Wheel’.

“People have the right to fly
And will when it gets compromised
Their hearts say ‘move along’
Their minds say ‘gotcha heart’
‘Let’s move it along’

And airports see it all the time
Where someone’s last goodbye
Blends in with someone’s sigh
Cause someone’s coming home
In hand a single rose

And that’s the way this wheel keeps working now…”

The second little verse just seems to fit so appropriately for me.

Hmmm.

You are as abandoned and noisy as any character in a porn film, Laura. You are Ian's plaything, responding to his touch with shrieks of orgasmic delight. No woman in the history of the world is having better sex than sex you are having with Ian... in my head.
